Slice Pie Company

Best key lime pie I have ever had. And I'm not usually a huge fan of key lime pie but they made it the way it SHOULD be made. And I'm also not usually the biggest fan of pie crust but I LOVED theirs. Its perfect.The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I'd just like it better if they had a bigger and more diverse selection of single slices in the store. When I went, it seemed like almost all the slices were chocolate in some way. And I was really wanting something more fruity, which is why I went with key lime pie even though it's not what I'd usually go to. That being said, again it was the best pie I've had so my only criticism summed up is that they should have more pies! Lol.

Chocolate Meringue pie, my favorite pie, is a part of my childhood, eating it at family reunions, made by true southern cooks. But, since then, finding the real thing has been difficult. So, when hearing about Slice of Pie on a local TV program, how the business was started by a minister and his daughter, and that the pies were the highest of quality, made in the southern tradition, my heart raced. I went online and ordered one of their pies for my approaching birthday.This is the part where I wish I could write that my birthday Chocolate Meringue Pie from Slice of Pie was a memory realized and then the owner would respond with a gracious thank you. My regrets, but I can 't. On cutting, the chocolate filling ran everywhere like it was a pudding and, on tasting, the crust was tasteless, hard and crunchy. I mean, the pie was fine, but not great. After a drive from Durham to Raleigh and over $60 later, I was disappointed.Meanwhile, 30 minutes after writing the above review....After writing the above review, The Pie Lady reached out to me, was very upset by my reaction, and though I asked her not to, insisted on refunding me. Wow. Even though I wish she had not taken it so personally, I am blown away by a business person who cares so much about her product. So impressive This is the kind of local business that should be supported!! Thank you, Pie Lady !

Best pie I've ever had! The owner walked us through her creations and let us know her favorites, and once we experienced her pies, we got it. The chocolate pecan was to die for!! We plan on driving down again just for pie! (They do deliver.. but it's a whole experience)

Way over priced. $47 dollars for a pie that is just ok. I’m all about supporting our local businesses. Can’t do it here. The prices are insane and the chocolate chess pie was very disappointing. My mom bought the apple pie too. Again it was ok. Definitely not worth $50. I’ll stick with Ukrops chocolate chess pie for $8. It’s so good. The pies I would give 2-3 stars. The prices I give 0 stars. Just my opinion tho. Try it for yourself.

I ordered several pies for our Christmas celebration and also as gifts for friends. However, one of the pies didn't meet the high standard I had come to expect from Slice. I reached out to the company via email to share my feedback, and Kristen, known as The Pie Lady, contacted me. She went above and beyond to ensure my experience was rectified. Kristen doesn’t just want you to like her pies; she works hard to make sure you'll love them—and I truly do! Now that I've written this review and reminisced about pie, I find myself craving some!
