Contribuiți la feedbackThe food here is great, but the staff leaves much to be desired. My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place, but when our order arrived incorrectly, he approached the kitchen to resolve the issue. Instead of offering a friendly solution, the kitchen staff started making derogatory comments about him in Spanish, not realizing that he is Hispanic and could understand everything they were saying. When he shared this with me, I went over to speak with the woman at the front register about the wrong order. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she insisted that we had ordered what we received and tried to argue with me. It took me standing there holding the incorrect food for her to finally agree to have the kitchen remake our order. While the food itself is delicious, be cautious of the staff, as they are not very accommodating, especially when it comes to correcting their errors.
Shut up, Raleigh!!!! This restaurant was absolutely amazing. "Authentic" is the best word to describe it. Every dish is fresh and made in-house, and there are plenty of options to choose from. We tried the chicken quesabirrias, and they were divine. The elote asado was like a celebration in my mouth. Seriously... And don't even get me started on their margaritas! The pictures don’t do justice to how refreshing and perfectly balanced they were. They are definitely among the best I've had in the Raleigh area.
I ordered takeout, and I usually find that it's not as good as dining in. However, this place is the exception. I had the Quesabirria beef taco combo, and it was delicious from start to finish. Definitely worth every penny!
The drinks were quite good, although on the expensive side. The guacamole had a nice kick but lacked tomatoes, and the lime flavor was hard to detect. Other dishes seemed to be missing something too; for instance, the tacos had onions but no pico de gallo. The Al Pastor tacos were excellent and paired well with the green sauce. The chorizo had a good flavor, but it could have used different toppings to complement the meat. My wife really enjoyed the Arroz con Pollo and mentioned that the cilantro rice was very good and authentic. If you order tacos, I recommend getting chips and salsa to add some extra flavor, which we did.
The quesabirria tacos are definitely the highlight! I ordered the three-chicken combo plate, which came with rice and black beans on the side. The dipping sauce for the tacos is absolutely delicious! I also tried the berry pineapple margarita, and it was really tasty. I enjoyed everything thoroughly. The atmosphere is charming and makes for a great setting to enjoy good food and cocktails. A bonus: they also had Mexican candy available for purchase!
