Stopped by for a quick bite, and the service was terrible. We waited for water for 10 mins, and then when they finally got our order for drinks, it was another 15. By that time we got tired of waiting and left. Down the streetn there is a better restaurant called Flavor Hills that has better service and food options.
I've always had amazing times and meals at CC16, whether it's family brunch or date night or even private events in the restaurant.Everything about the restaurant feels homey and inviting from the decor to the service and the menu. It's an icon of downtown Raleigh and I'm devastated that it's closing.I'll be going back a few more times in the coming week to support them and say goodbye. It's a hard loss but I'm looking forward to following and supporting their future ventures with their food truck.
SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE:This place was lovely. All the staff were so sweet and helpful. Definitely a gem in downtown, great for a date or an intimate catch up with an old friend.FOOD:We started with the pimento cheese, local jam, and fig tostadas, which were INCREDIBLE!! A must have if you visit here.I got the portobello mushroom and avocado grilled cheese with tomato soup, which was okay. The cheese and avocado together were a bit heavy. My partner got the burger, which he said was awesome! He said the hand cut fries were very good.OVERALL:We had a lovely time. Shoutout to our server Dvir, impeccable vibes from him.
I love going Thursday night for their $6 burger special! They always do a great job everyday of the week ?
