Snobbish, expensive, bed&breakfast with breakfast not included (15$ port person surcharge regardless of age). Rude service. Would not recommend.

Traveling the Gaspe for salmon fishing in June 2016 we were staying in Metis-sur -mer and arranged for our host to make a dinner reservation for four on the Saturday night which was made with Mr.Raynald the owner. The four of us showed up at 7pm.and were advised by the son,that he was in "charge" and said he could find no reservation and they were unable to provide the agreed service. The dinning room which reminded me of a coffee shop of a cheap motel was fairly full with the guests from the Inn's next door motel which is a conversion from the towns old bowling alley.There was only one table for four which was occupied. I have been treated rudely over my 75 years but not for such a long time. The son should read a book on serving the public in Canada which I am sure the father will have given his past.Having been refused service we drove 4 minutes away to Le Matelot restaurant which had over 50 cars in the parking lot and the owner, after hearing of our treatment at the Auberge, found a table and we had a great meal.

After sitting down for dinner, we were given the menu which only included the Table d'hôte for the price of $51.95. I was a bit surprised by the price as the choice was OK but not that great. Anyhow, we decided to stay and I took the table d'hôte while my friend who suffers from the Crone disorder asked if she could only take two small entrees and a green salad. The waitress agreed. We each had a glass of wine. My meal was OK. The service was nice enough. But it was very overpriced. With the taxes and the tip, I paid $80 for my meal and they charged exactly the same price to my friend who only had taken two small entrees and a green salad with a glass of wine. I did not realize this as I was not at the counter when she paid but had I seen it, I would have protested. Therefore, I was disappointed with this place. Thank God, there was a nice sunset and the view was great. Theo, one of the two sons of the owner, was also quite pleasant and gave us a good service, except for the bill at the end of the meal for my friend :-(

Such a good meal. A beautiful spot, lovely proprietors. What you hope you will find on Gaspe. And then we did. Prix fixe, 4 courses. Wife and I ordered differently to taste more. Everything we had was good.
