Margaritas Mexican - Methuen

The customer service was terrible. The waiter was too busy flirting with another server to attend to our table. It took ages for him to clear away the dirty dishes. On a positive note, the drinks were good. However, when I spoke to the manager about the issue, he was unhelpful and refused to address the problem. This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

We had a large group and they were very accommodating We were sat promptly and immediately served. The fajitas were amazing. The hostess Jazzlynn was friendly and gracious. Our waitress Ariana was extremely attentive and checked in with us several times. In a group of 8 we were all very happy with our food and the atmosphere. The queso is addictive and I filled up on it.

I highly recommend the coconut drink with 1800 in it. It was a very busy night and short staffed. The wings were on point dipped in a coconut sauce as well. Our waitress was doing the best she could with waiting on tables and getting their orders. Our orders came out too late so we asked to have it to go instead. She felt horrible about us waiting so long. I understand. Covid times are hard especially for the waitresses and anyone in the food industry that are working. We gave her a 20% tip, still. For anyone who deals with this,... don't tip your waiter horribly... but understand that these are hard times, too.

Follow-up: I did send an email to the owner on 4/15, please let me know if you have received. Went at 8pm on a Friday night, no wait to get seating which we thought was great. Server took our drink order promptly and brought to the table quickly. Ordered a queso appetizer which was also brought out quickly but tasted terrible, it was like processed cheese in too much grease so it was separated and like a chalky cheese. We ordered 2 of the small chicken burritos just the way they are listed in the menu. They were delivered fully wrapped in a paper which seemed to make the wrap soggy. We both ate with a fork since the burrito was falling apart. Used to go there frequently but it's definitely not the same, sadly.

The restaurant experience was disappointing. The food was subpar and the service was even worse. Despite watching the waiter attend to nearby tables multiple times, they never bothered to check on us. Eventually, we decided to give up on the meal and left it practically untouched with napkins still on the plates, waiting for the check. After being ignored by the waiter multiple times, we had to seek out the hostess for our check. Eventually, a manager came over but mistakenly gave the check to the wrong table. After that was sorted out, we were ready to pay and leave. However, when we returned the check, the manager asked if we wanted to take our leftover food home, which had used napkins on it. It seemed that other customers were receiving better service, likely due to their consumption of alcohol. While alcohol may improve the service at Margarita’s, it won't make the food any better. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant, especially if you're not planning on running up a bar tab.
