Walk On's Sports Bistreaux Gonzales

I reached out via the provided email address but didn't get a reply. I wanted to share my experience with the alligator bites I ordered for takeout. Usually, I get them from another Walk-On's location, where they're typically abundant and full of flavor. Sadly, this time, the bites were smaller and lacked the usual spice. I won’t be coming back. The staff was friendly, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars.

I've dined at Walk-Ons about four or five times, and it consistently proves to be a dependable choice for a quick and casual meal. During my latest visit, I had an early dinner with my niece. We were seated right away, and our server was outstanding. We kicked off our meal with the Waffle Cheese Fries, which were incredibly tasty! The portion was generous, and both of us were nearly full after finishing them. For my main dish, I chose something lighter—the Redfish Tacos. The redfish was cooked perfectly, and the tacos came with a side of queso and chips. My niece absolutely loved the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese! We'll definitely be returning!

My boyfriend and I had dinner at this restaurant and decided to try the Waffle Cheese Fries, topped with bacon, cheese, and banana peppers. They were absolutely fantastic and came out piping hot. Unfortunately, my boyfriend was not very pleased with the Tuscan chicken entree. The chicken was quite dry and came with a tomato salsa on top, despite his request to have it served on the side. Sadly, the salsa didn't taste good and didn’t pair well with the chicken. He also tried the Louisiana Street Corn, which was too watery and had a burnt taste. On a brighter note, he loved the mashed potatoes—they had a wonderful flavor. I ordered the sweet chili chicken and waffle fries, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice; my meal was delightful. We would definitely consider returning, although my boyfriend might choose a different entree next time. Our server was exceptionally sweet and friendly, but she did seem to disappear toward the end of our meal. Eventually, we received our check and were able to leave.

I chose to dine at this restaurant after reading the great reviews and seeing a picture of their salad on their website. I also tried the onion rings, which were fantastic—the seasoned batter really enhanced the flavor. The salad lived up to my expectations completely. The young woman who served me at the bar was friendly and professional. I will certainly return for another visit.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant, definitely worthy of four stars! While traveling, my friend and I chose to have dinner here, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. The food was outstanding! I ordered the blackened catfish étouffée, which came with rice and crispy catfish bites, and it was simply fantastic. My friend went for the pasta jambalaya and thought it was delicious as well. The service was excellent, and there were numerous TVs for entertainment, which added to the overall vibe!
