Uchi Sushi Hibachi - Metairie

This location was better than our normal place. The servings were bigger and tasted better. Everything was so fresh and tasty! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking good sushi and sashimi.

I've only recently started going to this place on a regular basis, and I must say that it's by far my favorite sushi spot in the greater New Orleans area. Excellent food, great staff, easy on the ol' pocket book tastes like it should cost more that you spend. As long as this place stays open, it'll be my go-to spot for delicious sushi.

My family has been eating at Uchi Sushi since it opened, and Johnny has only improved the quality of the food and service in that time! This is our favorite sushi spot despite the competition in the area. Highly recommended! Highly recommended for sushi, hibachi, and lunch.

Their Hawaiian role is to die for, as well as any of their sushi rolls. Their hibachi is also good but Jonny (the owner) is a better chef than the others. They only have one hibachi chef at a time so if you go and there’s already a hibachi table waiting for a chef, expect to be there for hours.

This is my go-to sushi spot in the New Orleans area! I’m pretty picky about sushi but this place always seems to get it right. The sushi chefs are skilled and friendly. It can get pretty busy but it’s worth the wait.
