Beautiful atmosphere, great service and good food.

A very cozy restaurant in the heart of Messina. The menu changes daily and is traditional food from the area, with what I suspect is a bit of a modern flares. The ambience is great, ideal for families with older children, for two or with friends. A big hidden jewel in town!

Absolutely perfect experience. Like one of the best meals I had in years, and I tend to travel and taste quite a bit. The service was absolutely superlative, and a great match of each course with a corresponding wine/liquid was suggested. I admired the passion and knowledge about the subtleties of local products and the ability to connect them with the speific course. The courses themselves were an absolute feast of the senses with which he crispy octopus coocked to perfection, to keep the taste and consistency best while giving a tasty bowl. The second course orata was only raised, probably among the best fish courses I had in years. The taste of the fish was marked and dominant, and clearly the freshness and quality of the products, and it was excellent with aromas of Guazza . Cooking was perfect and provided the delicious crunchiness where necessary and the softness of the texture of the fish elsewhere. The dessert was up to the same level and perfectly matched to a strong local liquour. Even the bread was perfect. The only very small note is that I propose to change the legs of some of the tables, as those reserved for couples or individual customers look traditional, but sometimes slighly unconfortable.

Despite the fact that I don't like fish.... But good wine... Good appetizers... Excellent presentation... The owner did his best to serve us the best way he can..... The desert deserves to wait...
