Walk On's Sports Bistreaux Burbank

The chicken was overcooked and not blackened. Two times in a row. Two messed-up meals in a row. This time, the tartar suace was just dumped into the meal. Three containers with no lids. Nice! Done! Never again.

I had a great experience today at walk Ons. Our server Nina made sure we had all we needed and the food came out in a timely manner. I will be back very soon!

We originally visited a Walk On 's in NOLA. We were super excited when this location opened a couple years ago. We have been here about 7 times, but this review is for today 7/19/2024. The first visit was fantastic. So fantastic that we wanted to compliment the manager, but she never came out to see us we waited over an hour hanging at the bar. The place was packed! Tonight we entered an almost empty restaurant at about 8 pm. We were surprised as it is a Friday night and we had decent food and good service during our other visits. Problem numero uno the place smelled strongly like bleach. Restaurants should smell like food. The bartender was super friendly. They have advertised Yuengling beer for the past 2 years. Do you know how many winter visitors are from the East Coast who would love to have some Yuengling to drink in Arizona? Use your connections! They had Blanton 's bourbon last time none tonight. I got the last of Jefferson Reserve. I was ready to pay $25 per pour for a drink, but you didn 't have it anymore. We ordered a cup of gumbo, lemon butter chicken, and Catfish Atchafalaya. It took over 20 minutes for the gumbo to come out. Then 20 more minutes for our food to arrive. The rice was WAY undercooked in both the gumbo and the Atchafalaya. The kitchen made fried shrimp when we ordered blackened, but didn 't have any other shrimp to correct the order. The chicken was so overcooked and rubbery, I didn 't eat most of it. The broccoli and grits were good. How hard is it to cook rice? If you can 't get rice correct, then, Lordy, good luck! We did tell the bartender about our food, and explained we weren 't looking for a free meal. But we were SUPER disappointed with our order and the empty restaurant. Texas Roadhouse has people waiting over an hour for a table, why aren 't you doing better to grab those customers? You are unique to the area. You have a great location and bar! Why is the place empty? I heard there is new management, so I hope to go back soon and see an improvement. Honestly, this place won 't last if they don 't do something to turn it around and bring in the customers. We really want to see it succeed!

Food was great, service was great, especially our server Mia.
