Rubio's Coastal Grill - Mesa

I really enjoy eating at Rubio's, but since I have a shrimp allergy, I find myself getting tired of the fish tacos. I absolutely love it when they offer the Langostino Lobster Taco; I hope they keep it on the menu since it's so delicious.

There was a large portion of food available at this restaurant, but the flavors were quite unusual. The rice lacked seasoning, the chips were overly hard, the salsa resembled cold spaghetti sauce, and the beans had a strange taste similar to hot dog water. Overall, the combination of flavors was just odd.

I am blown away by the Mexican Street Corn Bowl. Huge thanks to the person who cooked my meal - it was absolutely fantastic.

I have been going to Rubio's restaurants for 20+ years. I ALWAYS order the same thing, the Chicken Quesadilla and for the most part it tastes the same... Which is Great! This is the first time I have ever had this happen at any location. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, but they forgot the Chicken! Unfortunately, I got it to go and was not able to request a resolution. Typically in my reviews of Rubio's, I highly recommend the Chicken Quesadilla. Just if you order it from this location, make sure they actually make yours with chicken.

Very attentive manager, delicious food. The kitchen made a mistake, and it was fixed right away. First time at this location; not the first time at Rubio's and we will return! The carnitas taco is a nice combination of sweet and savory with mango and salsa. Highly recommend Rubio's.
