Pita Jungle Red Mountain - Mesa

The food at this restaurant is usually excellent, as is the customer service. However, on this occasion, I ordered the Mediterranean Ceviche for lunch to go. Despite living less than five minutes away from my workplace, when I opened the container, there was a strange smell and I discovered that the shrimp was raw and mushy inside. I called to complain to the manager and was informed that the shrimp is actually poached, not marinated in lime juice as traditional ceviche is. I was asked to return that day for a reimbursement, but due to prior commitments, I couldn't make it. The restaurant then offered me a $20 gift card for my inconvenience, even though my meal only cost $16. I was left without lunch and felt that I had received poor customer service. Despite my disappointment, I was told that this was in line with the restaurant's corporate policy.

This was a delightful place to lunch with my sister. We had one traditional dish and one the server suggested. We shared them and although the suggested dish was spicier than expected it was very tasty.Food: 4/5

A recent experience cemented our family's decision to move onto other restaurant options, in spite of it being a long time favorite. Service was poor, food was not what was ordered in clearly obvious large piece of Turkey in a vegan wrap! One daughter ordered a turkey wrap and the other ordered a tofu wrap. They must have been making them side by side and dropped a very big piece of rolled up turkey into the vegan wrap. Had they apologized and resolved the issue right away it would still have been disappointing for a restaurant that has a vegan menu! However, they were rude and implied that we put the turkey in the vegan wrap ourselves for some reason? Made no sense and was beyond infuriating that they didn't even admit to their mistake. Never going back!

We come here often and this is the first time I've felt the need to leave a review. Ordered for pickup and upon arriving they tell me someone else with my same name, and supposedly same order, had picked up my meal. Sorry, but that's obviously not true. You guys never ask what is in the order. I'm assuming you gave my meal to someone else without checking or forgot to make my order. Honesty goes a long way. I had to wait to have my food re-made. Highly disappointed.

Pita Jungle is my most favorite restaurant. I just picked up pesto pizza today and 2 of the hummus/chicken tacos. Soooo good!!Food: 5/5
