Mariscos Mr Shrimp - Mesa

I believe the food at this restaurant might have been truly authentic Mexican cuisine, though I cannot be certain since I have never tried it before. However, we were not pleased with our meal as the shrimp was severely overcooked and incredibly chewy. We also felt unsure about the items on the menu. The staff were friendly and pleasant, so I do not fault them for our dissatisfaction. This was simply a mistake on our part, well, actually my wife's, but let's not tell her as she can be a bit harsh sometimes, LOL.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of ceviche and shrimp cocktails, including shrimp with the head on, scallops, octopus, snail, crab, and more. Whether you speak English or Spanish, you can enjoy the seafood. I deducted a star because I was a bit hesitant to eat raw seafood so far from the ocean, but it turned out to be fine. The ceviches are elaborate but have a mild flavor, so you may need to add seasonings, spices, hot sauce, lime juice, or whatever else you prefer to enhance the taste. Personally, I prefer my mother-in-law's shrimp cocktail, but this place is still good. There is plenty of seating and a stage for live entertainment.

This restaurant was extremely pricey and the food did not justify the cost. Additionally, they charged for water, which was just a regular temperature bottle that could be bought at Walmart or a gas station. This was extremely disappointing. The server failed to mention the water charge, which added to the negative experience. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for out-of-town visitors looking for a seafood restaurant to enjoy. The money spent here could have been better used at a different, higher-quality restaurant.

Went on a date here the guy I was with didn't know at night they did performances so that was a fun surprise. I unfortunately don't speak Spanish (he did) so I really had no clue what I was ordering I went by the pictures. Lots of fun and the food was fast.

The atmosphere is cool.Bar/restaurant vibe with good music and better when karaoke kicks off. Food looks great and is good but it 's severely overpriced. I 'm not much of a seafood person so I had the chicken flautas and while they were good, you pay extra for rice and beans. Ordered water when we got there and the rude waiter brought room temperature bottles you buy at Walmart and oh by the way he rang us up for $3 per bottle which he never mentioned they charged for water. Long story short I paid $22 for chicken flautas that are decent but I can have better flautas at any of the 'bertos for half the price. Wouldn 't be so bad if the waiter wasn 't rude and seemed to be very uninterested in our table, which was decent sized 12 top.
