Contribuiți la feedbackNo, that's not really lou malnatis. we had lous from other locations in the valley, and they lived up to the original Chicago offers. this Mesa location is however quite müll in comparison. not sure whether this is a franchise location, and the owner does not follow the recipes and measurements, or what? ordered a chicago classic, which should have a full of sausage and cheese. I counted eight small pieces of sausage, and there was only enough cheese to make sure that the tomats do not suck straight through the crust. we will not order from this location again, as other reviews have similar complaints. Obviously, this location is not dependent on offering a quality product.
I love lou malnati in scottsdale where you sat down. that feels like a poor knock. the pizza we got was not near the crust. for me it seems that they get frozen crusts and knock a frozen topping pack on them. it is not even sitting near a real lou malnatis. I get that like a pei wei in comparison to a pchangs, but the quality is not there. the pizza was so average. we would never go back. which is a silver lining, they can buy their salat dressing.
Alright , I did it. I said I would never spend 40 on a pizza but since my kids had coupons for individual pizzas, I thought what the heck? I ordered on the phone and the girl was exceptionally nice and informative. A girl who seemed to actually value customer service, thanks girl! The man who gave us our pizzas, super nice too. So 5 stars for employees. Now, the pizza. I've been to Chicago and had deep dish pizza but not from this famous place. The crust is very different than what I've had, I don't know how to explain it really. Dense? Cakey? Dense and cakey? The sausage was good but not what I would call Italian sausage but the mushrooms were on point! And the stewed tomatoes were good too. Good amount of cheese. Worth 40 for a large 2 topping? No. Filling? Yes. Would I eat here again? No. Just didn't live up to the hype of oh my gosh, this is the best pizza place straight from Chicago. Oh but the Ranch is delicious. Maybe next time I'll eat a salad.
It's been a while, but we had a deep dish and a thin crust pizza and both were really good. The whole thing with the wrapper thing on top of the pizza, really didn't bother us. It seems to be there so the whole toppings and sauce don't come off onto the box lid. It does steam it a bit, but I'd really prefer that not happen, so I'm fine with it lol The taste was good. The deep dish could have been slightly cheesier, since it's a Chicago pizza, but it was still very good and fresh. We also noted that the pizza did not make us feel sick ish at all, huge plus there as many can leave you feeling kinda gross. Pretty good here and we'll be back if I get a hold of a coupon.
First I should say that I'm originally from Chicago and Lou's is hands down my FAVORITE deep dish pizza out of them all. HOWEVER, my last 2 orders one being from last night from this particular location have been sad excuses from the pizza it used to be. It's VERY obvious that they have started cutting corners with ingredients as both these past two times my order was approx 30 40 thinner on the sausage patty as well as about 50 less cheese than they have always had. You guys still call THIS deep dish ? Since when Lou's? Mind you, I got extra sauce so it would've looked even thinner without them extra tomatoes. I've seen New York thin crust thicker than this guys. Your pizza used to be KNOWN for being so cheesy that it stretches across as you pull off a slice; my slice didn't even consider warming up before this stretch. All jokes aside This is disrespectful to your customers as well as long term fans especially considering you're charging the same prices. You get a 2 because it at least still tastes good.
