Eegee's - Mesa

The customer service was excellent, however, the food was terrible. The price was a good deal, $40 for a family of 4. Luckily, we were all very hungry. The chicken salad I ordered had no taste and the breaded chicken was soggy. The 8-inch sub was closer to 5 inches. I considered calling to complain, but there is no point as we will not be returning even for free food. It seems like standards have really fallen nowadays.

I really enjoy eegee's. Their fries are top-notch and their grinders are outstanding. I'm grateful that they opened a location closer to me than Casa G. The previous location was a bit too far, especially for a delicious sandwich.

I have visited this restaurant twice and both times the sandwiches were amazing. I especially enjoyed the original grinder while my husband loves the turkey and provolone. The first visit had great service, but during the second visit, we were the only car in the drive-thru and it took 22 minutes to receive our 3 sandwiches. Despite there being at least 3 employees, it seemed like only one person was doing all the work while the others chatted near the window. Kudos to the hardworking employee, but the others should learn the importance of teamwork.

I tried the dish of the month and I have to say, the flavors complement each other perfectly. I initially had doubts about how good it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised!

The sandwiches are enjoyable for everyone, but I personally really like them. I find that they taste even better once the dressing has had the chance to soak into the bread. The drinks are fantastic. However, the featured flavors this month were nothing special. My go-to choice is a mix of lemon and strawberry, which tastes delicious when mixed with alcohol. The cups do a great job of keeping drinks cold. My drink stayed cold for the hour and a half drive from Mesa to Surprise without much melting. The thinnest version of the Eegee drink is a bit messy, but they don't skimp on flavor. This Mesa location showcases the flavors of Tucson and Casa Grande. It is a fairly new location and very clean. It is a bit odd that there are two windows, one for drinks and the other for food consumption.
