Chili's Grill - Mesa

We had stopped going to this particular location during Covid because we consistently got bad food, rude bartenders and unfriendly servers. Months later we try again and we met the manager Tiffany she was very excited and enthusiastic about the new menu. Service and food was great!!! Sunday 9/11/22 12:05 pm. We go back excited to try the new menu. Only a few customer 's in the bar. We 're excited to try out the new menu and see Tiffany. Again rude service from the bartender. We wait twenty minutes to get our order taken. There are no other people at the bar top but us two. Tip of the day!!! If you aren 't a regular customer there don 't bother. You 'll get rude service with no eye contact. They save seats for thirty minutes for regular customers using a glass of water when those customers aren 't even in the building, those seats are saved seats for the regular customers who don 't buy food, just beer. The wait staff gave us dirty looks because we moved the water when there is no person sitting there after 30 minutes you assume the seats are available. The customers whose seats were being saved did get seats next to us, so as you can tell it was not a very busy place and now we know why. We tried this place again because we liked Tiffany we will never go back. Sorry Tiffany. We are paying customers who spend a lot of money when we go out, too bad, we won 't spend money where we are treated poorly and given dirty looks for moving water glasses. If you aren 't in the building you should not reserve a seat. We noticed other people that came in were treated just as bad. That is if you weren 't a regular. I do not normally give a bad review but this was a terrible experience.

Chilies McKellips Coming to check out the new bar menu. Waited 18 minutes at the bar top to receive service. Not welcoming, not friendly No smiles. No eye contact. No positive engagement. There were eight people in the entire bar area and the bar top was completely empty. The staff was congregated in the back area. After selecting my seat, 20 mins later) I moved 2 seats over to view the game on tv. Again there was no one else at the bar top. After I moved seats the bartender came to take the drink order, she cleared a glass water that was sitting there along with three drink napkins, she made a comment that those 3 seats were on hold Bartender was holding seats for regulars that were not here. We asked for a manager and no one on site. Approximately 10 mins later, A couple Customer arrived and Tension with staff and the two customers started , they were explaining whispering) what happened and blamed me for their seat disruption. Hey we had those saved! Then immediately The regular customer was frustrated because his game was not being shown on the TV and he became loud and firm in a disruptive open conversation between the bartender and front staff regarding which channels can be turned or changed which TV units cannot be turned regarding sports channels. Another regular female customer sits at the bar and calls out to the couple sitting next to me, stating; hey you guys are in the wrong seats, it must be uncomfortable for you. During my entire experience today, the two customers complained to staff entire time about us sitting in their saved assigned seats. We did not receive the same high level of service as the regular customer experienced. As we left , absolutely no acknowledgment of thank you, Hope see again and please come back. Nothing!!

If you’re vegetarian or vegan just don’t go to Chili’s. I will never be back. This is the second time a Chili’s has placed meat in my food, even after requesting multiple times for there to be no meat. This time, I ordered the cajun pasta to go, our waiter forgot about it, brought it out, no visible chicken. I go to reheat it the next day, with little bits of chicken they forgot to pick out I guess. All the waiter had to do was say “sorry we put chicken in it but we will remake it with no meat”, I would not have gotten upset. To a vegan/vegetarian, you can NOT just pick meat out, it will make us very ill! I did not see the little bits of chicken until it was too late and my partner and I became very sick.
