We moved to mertola so that I could photograph the city and eat in this restaurant. both were worth the 80 km long distance. we were happy on Saturday afternoon at 1300 in a place. do not plan to do this - which has been located. for 2 hours of the time we arrived, packed; mostly seemed native with very few obvious tourist. the waiters somehow stopped, but they were angry! as others have already mentioned, this is a minimal Frills place that serves typical local food. but it's really good. we had migas with black pork and grilled rebstock. both were perfectly prepared and I loved the migas that was new to me. at the suggestion of the waiter, we were only half a share, even though we were great eaters. good call. we hardly touched the accompanying fries, and I brought almost half of my migas to home! to accompany the meal, we had a small glass white wine ~375 ml,) a beer and a large bottle of water. total cost, 42 euro, and we were pleasantly full. note that the restaurant is actually in an exceptional becauseer corvos,) not mertola itself. put the name in Google maps for directions - for the second time in this week, the travel advisor received directions was inaccurate.
We have booked this from Great Britain as it is our favorite restaurant and closed on Saturday for their summer break, the staff was as always welcome, service-fab despite busy and eating was excellent we had steak, salat, cheese, olive and house wine, nothing but good praise throughout the whole round. they enjoy their deserved break-jung. Amazing eating, great service, great prices. definitiw one has to go and they should book in advance as it is always full. we went to our stay several times.
We love this restaurant! The staff are fantastic and really helped us with the menu being tourists who can’t speak Portuguese. The food is of a fabulous quality and absolutely delicious all at an extremely reasonable price. If you happen to be in...this area, please book a table and experience Portuguese hospitality at its very best the best restaurants are often off the beaten track. Thanks for a lovely time!
