The Dragonfly - Merthyr Tydfil

In 3 for a table booked at 4 asked a TV view for a perfect place sitting, most of the were amazing, the dame at the bar) eating was spot on, I had carvery and hubby had steak. we were in the travel lodge and the distance was a 2 minute to foot, so stayed for a few pints after and crawl in our room....only fall was wales lost the rugby! we will be coming back

I must say that this was our first visit and it will not be our last! the personal could not have been more attentive, polite, helpful the whole experience was first class! the ambiente was excellent, the spatialities were untouched. I am uncertain what more superlative I could give to be truly? it was an experience that surpassed our expectations, so a huge amount of praise to the workers who created this excellent environment! ps. the broth mushrooms were beautiful!

Then, just a few nights ago, we returned for my son's birthday, and the experience was just as wonderful. The lady at the bar greeted us with a friendly smile and engaging conversation, making for a warm welcome. Our server, Richard, was an absolute star! My son wanted a milkshake that they usually don't offer, but Richard personally went out of his way to make one for him, which delighted my little boy. We brought a cake with us, and Richard even brought it out with lit candles while singing "Happy Birthday" to my son, both in Welsh and English. It was such a sweet gesture, and my son was overjoyed! Earlier in the evening, Richard had taken some time to chat with him about his day and his presents, which made the occasion even more special. The food was tasty and offered great value for money, served by a very polite and friendly young man (I'm sorry I didn’t catch his name). The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with other customers also being friendly and sociable. Overall, it was a lovely evening, and I want to thank everyone we encountered that night. King Brychan is a fantastic pub with an amazing team! I'm sure we'll be back again.

I received a wonderful welcome upon arrival, feeling extremely welcomed and well taken care of. We were quickly seated and served our drinks. The food arrived shortly after we ordered, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was lively, enhanced by a fantastic singer entertaining us. Overall, it was a really enjoyable night out.

This is a cozy pub with excellent staff. During my two-week stay, Amanda ensured that everything was cheerful and focused on customer satisfaction. She went above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. I've dined here every night, and the food has been consistently good, complemented by a warm and friendly welcome. Amanda also helped me with various local inquiries, and I truly appreciated her assistance. The entire staff is hardworking and very accommodating.
