We ordered carry out thisevening...various kabob combinations (beef tenderloin, lemon chicken, and adobo chicken . Every bite was full of deliciouslyfresh and very satisfying flavors. I'm very much looking forward to ordering again (and again, and again.... !
Great experience, a diamond in the rough! Great hospitality and great food! The green tea w/ cardamom had the perfect balance of taste and strength. The lentil soup was a bonus! Coming from NYC I have a high standard and man did this hit the spot! Theambiance was also quite calm, maybe a bit a soft Mediterranean music playing in the background would help (wouldn't hurt toexplore? Highly recommended!
We went there, during the week, for breakfast. Everything was fresh, she even made fresh coffee...it was so delicious! We tried the Cook's (the aunt of the owner) homemade green and red hot sauce.....oh my gosh!!!!! It was so yummy!!!!! We we're the onlycustomers so we had the opportunity to chat with the cook, very friendly lady. I can't wait to go back sometime to try theirkabas.... especially with the sauce!!!!!
Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! My palate simply danced with the New flavors I've never experienced. Saved me on plane ticket, hotel, and never stepping foot out of the country. Best Mediterranean food around. Loved the Afghan Custard dessert as well.
There was no one there when we arrived which made me anxious, but the food was phenomenal. The savory turnovers 3 with leeks and 3 with potatoes were unique and I loved the spice of the garlic yogurt sauce. My steamed lamb melted in my mouth and was fabulous, inundated with warm flavors. I also really enjoyed the brown rice with the carrots and raisins. The rice is lighter and more flavorful than most brown rices. The gyro was good, and was a typical gyro. The fries were obviously from potatoes and fried perfectly with a nice crunch but tender inside.
