Oriental Buffet - Merrillville

Very friendly staff, good price (7.79+tax for lunch), and the food! Sushi made fresh in front of you at the buffet, not very many average dishes for a chinese buffet, and very very tasty. A great variety of foods, soups, and desserts, my favorite is the steamed dumplings. They are some of the best I've ever eaten at a restaurant, which is saying a lot since I've had them at over 100 asian restaurants.

The new owners are very nice. The Waitresses there make sure the place is clean sweeping up stuff on the floor making sure your table is clean take away the empty plates. The food is awesome much better than the last owners the food is hot they have different choices on the buffet which is good and said I have in the same thing there's still a lot of stuff up there that the old owners had but there's a lot of new stuff and he says were slowly changing our recipes try it again with the new owners in the place is awesome very good and it was busy too

I really wish this place was closer. They are VERY good. The selection isn't super big but what they have is tasty. They have good soups and sushi as well. The employees were very nice, attentive, and accurate with our drink orders. Hope to go back soon.

This place was great! Good price, but more importantly very polite and attentive staff. We got there an hour before they closed and they went out of their way to tell us to just let them know if they wanted to make anything on the buffet fresh since it was late. But before we even could request some stuff they brought it out fresh anyway. Sushi was made fresh and was delicious. This means a lot because even though it was a much slower night than it should've been (place was empty when we walked in) the food was fresh and the service was great. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

I actually really enjoy eating at this buffet. If you can get in when the food is freshly made it's heavenly because you can enjoy delicious food at really affordable prices. It feels like a steal! Do yourself a favor and try it. They have a good variety and a sushi bar; what's not to love. Clean restaurant, good ambiance and friendly staff. 5 stars!
