Ants on the tables, no plates offered with our starters, steaks average, no salt...n pepper offered with them and wine over priced. Maybe we were unlucky as every steak we saw come out before ours made us look forward to ours...but then ours was just a bit cheap.
A must go when in the Provence, just a few months outside the year open, traditional Provence cook and absolutely delicious, we love this place, both outside and inside are wonderful; great service, yummy eating, great weine and all decent prices.
These youngs really know what they do. great cooking of simple but excellent ingredients, good wein, good value. all done with passion and engagement. even on a cool april evening in the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. can not wait to regain a...warm night and eat under the great deliciousness!
On holiday in merindol and took advantage of my parent’s babysitting offer and wanted something a bit special. The setting is lovely and although it was a very hot day the terrace was cool. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff very helpful...and make you feel special. Thoroughly recommend this place.
You enter through a hedged gate into the treed garden of an elegant town house and we lunched in shade under a large plain tree. Service attentive, bilingual(French English) and helpful. We had one hors d'oeuvre of cold, thinly sliced, marinated smoked beef...beautifully decorated with rocket, carrot soaked in beetroot juice and another flavourful vegetable I didn't recognise. My wife had a whole, juicy sea bream with a multiplicity of mushrooms and the ubiqitous carrots (yellow rather than orange this time). My main course was a risotto delicately flavoured with cheese and garlanded with octopus forest mushrooms. We lubricated the event with a glass each of champagne, a bottle of full bodied rose expertly recommended by the sommelier and I had one glass of a well integrated red from a Luberon vineyard. Strong espresso coffees without being bitter rounded off a memorable experience for which we paid about 105 euros.
