Sakana Japanese Sushi & Steak House

We ended up going again for dinner the following night. This time I ordered the Sunrise sushi roll and as expected the food was delicious! I appreciate the staffs attention to us and welcoming us back! My colleague highly recommended the Mango Mojito.

It was a convenient location for dinner during our conference to the Boise area. The tempura and miso soup were quite good. However, the teriyaki chicken was really plain. It came with white rice, steamed broccoli, and the chicken topped with teriyaki sauce. I ate the rice, and not much else. The steamed broccoli was on the raw side. The chicken was not seasoned at all, and the teriyaki sauce was very mild with little flavor. The overall service was great, just a disappointing meal.

Didn't deserve 1 star. It was AWFUL. Food was cold service was mediocre. Wasn't aware you had to call and make a reservation for hibachi, probably should put that on the website.

Always have a great time when we are here! The beef tataki is a favorite! Sushi is always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is set up pretty cute and the service is always great.

I immediately knew this restaurant would be bad the second I walked in the door and wasn 't greeted for a solid minute. The waitress then said come with me and immediately grabbed menus and started walking away without acknowledging us. The overall place was dingy and the layout is terrible. I got the playboy sushi roll with was like a 7/10, but I spit out one piece because it had some hard pieces in it. My boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki, which came out looking like fake chicken, with overcooked old carrots and RAW onions. Yes, raw. We didn 't have anyone check on us and we were completely ignored even exiting the building.
