Contribuiți la feedbackIf they want to cheat. visit this place. our ticket came, which was high. because the waiter exchanges my card, I add by adding all fees written on a paper law (is this standard? . my sum and what they have charged was almost one. $300 peso difference. I let them know, and after waiting for at least 5 minutes, he came back with a very sad declaration that it was a delivery fee that they mistakenly included. he gave me back in cash. my guess is that they tried to cover their Skamming tracks. I have contacted Chilis companies in America and mexiko and will contact Profeco(Yucatán) to inform them of these very shady business practices. there is no idea how many people they have cheated.
Chilli's is an American styled restaurant that serves delicious Tex-Mex food. The menu includes the typical choices like Baby Back Ribs, Country Fired Chicken, Southern Smokehouse Burgers and Southwest Ribeye. The restaurant's location is just perfect if you are traveling in or out of Merida...on the ADO bus company's Platinum service to or from Cancun or Playa del Carmen. Finger licking good food, great service and reasonable priced.
We were staying at the Hyatt, so Chili's was very convenient. Our first night, we sat inside (air con a bit cold! and only booth style seating, however, the margaritas were great. We revisited the next night (about 8 of us this time , sat outside,...as most pleasant and again, had great drinks, including mojitos. Guacamole made at the table; onion rings, chicken wings .. great just to nibble, instead of having a full meal. Staff happy to keep extending our table ... thank you..
The food is terrible, I had 2 meals there through unavoidable circumstances. The 1st. time I thought I 'll go with the burger, they 're an American restaurant chain surely they can get a burger right. No they cannot, it was a big sort of gray in...color prefabricated burger, with a cold bun. The fries were inedible and generally I can eat fries no matter what. I ate 2 of them. The second time a friend was in town and he could see Chilis from his hotel window and recognized the name. He ordered for me, because I was running late and they would be closing soon. He ordered chicken fried chicken, unbelievably bad, a gelatinous sauce gravy served over a burnt chicken breast that came with mashed potatoes and garlic bread. The mashed potatoes were soggy and lumpy with this sauce type stuff poured over top. A cob of corn that was cold and wrinkled. The garlic bread because it was put on top of the chicken was inedible. I scraped off as much as the gelatinous sauce off the chicken and potatoes as I could but really nothing was salvageable. The service was slow, the waiters really had no idea how to even serve as they plunked it down which made the garlic bread fall off onto a not very clean table. I didn 't send the meal back, I didn 't want to hurt my friends feelings because it was his treat . The meal was disgusting from beginning to end. I ate less than 10% percent and the waiter didn 't ask why or what was wrong. My friend wasn 't able to choke down the same meal as I had and kept apologizing. The restaurant had a fair number of people in it but they were for the most part playing pool and drinking. Very unfortunate as they have a prime location, near hotels, horse and buggy rides across the street.
We did not know Chili's had breakfasts until we passed by this sucursal and saw the advertising. It is a good option for early breakfast, well served, good portions. They just need to pay attention when the customers walk in, because when you arrive there...is nobody to attend you until they come out the kitchen with other people's order.
