Steak 'n Shake - Mentor

I was disappointed during my recent visit to this restaurant. The waitstaff let us order our meals via a computer, which felt impersonal. The food we received lacked the care and love that used to go into its preparation. The once vibrant atmosphere has become sterile, making it less enjoyable to dine there. After being a regular for many years, I’m sad to say I don’t want to return. It seems the pandemic has taken a toll on one of my favorite places. Even fast-food chains like McDonald's maintain a more appealing experience, with staff who personalize orders and make sure everything is just right. I may have to choose the golden arches on my next outing instead.

We waited more than 20 minutes in the drive thru even though there was only 2 cars ahead of us. 2 of our 3 burgers were not what we ordered. They shorted us a fry and the chili was only half full. It was not worth the wait time or money we spent.

I ordered a burger that sounded great, but it came with cheese, even though I didn't request it. I had to wait an entire hour for them to fix my order after expressing my frustration. To make matters worse, I couldn't even get a refund and leave because we had to order at a kiosk, and it printed out an empty receipt. There was literally no one around to help us; they left the orders sitting on the counter and disappeared. I tried to reach out for assistance, but after 11 days, I still haven't received any response.

Was horrible. the place smell bad, the floor was slippery like the hell, probably because it never changed the fat water from the kitchen. the hamburger was paper thin. the kerl came out to get the shells from the garbage container area and never cleaned the opposite that looked like a land fill. steak n shake should be ashamed of what they did on this site. it uses excellent with waiter who took care of her and burger, who they could see at least between the bungalow. never go there again, steak n shake should remove their names from the building from embarrassment.
