Mama Coco - Menlo Park

This restaurant has really mexican flavors, is one of the best in the area for sure, more expensive than just two dollars signs of "yelp", maybe three but

I have come here a couple of times for work events and thought the food was pretty good.

I'm not sure why it's so highly rated hereThe free chips are stale and unevenly salted.

The portions were generously-sized, the back terrace comfortable (though the table was a bit small for four hungry and thirsty people), and the service was outstanding--we didn't feel we were on a remote outpost of the business, as sometimes happens. Restroom clean, personnel had a laid-back but professional vibe. Good value!

I wish I lived closer because I would probably eat here a few times a week AT LEAST! Let me start by saying the staff is super warm friendly! They greeted me warmly when I came in and showed me to a table. I was having a rather late lunch so I just wanted a couple apps: *A cup of tortilla soup-INSANELY GOOD! Loaded with shredded chicken, diced avocado and yummy tortillas all soaking in an amazingly seasoned tomato base! I started munching right away and almost forgot to squirt a lil lime in there. Let me tell you, delish with out, game changer with! Either way, you can't go wrong. *Fried calamari-fresh, crunchy, seasoned to perfection! I love that they also fried some limes and jalapenos with the calamari! Such a treat! If you are ever in the area..DO NOT PASS UP MAMA COCO's! Your taste buds will thank you :
