Arauco Cuisine - Mendoza

We loved this place so much that we eat here twice during our visit to Uco Valley. Everyone was wonderful. Chef Carlos was great. Food and service was fantastic.

We have dined at Arauco during the stay at Vines Resort. We wanted something local. Our guide recommended this rustic restaurant near Tunuyan. The cook and the staff were a pleasure. The food was better than the famous Siete Fuegos. In fact, we went back to dinner at our last night in Uco Valley.

Last night, nobody wanted to cook, so we dared and tried to find a place in Tunuyan. Everyone who knows Tunuyán knows that this is an extremely difficult task, but not impossible. We drove from this little hidden gem from the beaten path and the aromas of this place were divine. We were drawn in and were so satisfied with the situation, the food and the people we definitely put this place in our list of places we are back and forth. You will not be disappointed!!! If you want to be surprised in a good way, this low profile, good quality restaurant is a must. Appropriate prices 3 step menu, nice wine selection and a small and cozy place are a perfect plan

I know Carlos, the chef-proprietaire, since 2011, when he crossed the Andes with us on horseback for a gourmet adventure lasting five days. What he did then, with incredibly limited resources, was amazing and wonderful. Last night, we had the pleasure of meeting again. And I enjoyed every bite and sip of the dinner he served us. Nothing pretentious, just plain good delicious, with honest, clean flavors and the right size portions. My sole regret is that he is open only a few evenings a week. And the fact that it is almost a half hour drive from our vineyard to his restaurant. Pricing was very very reasonable, music not-intrusive, and service prompt and discreet.
