Young Avenue Deli - Memphis

We decided to get takeout from this place because the restaurant our family was dining at nearby had no vegan options. The menu here doesn't have a lot of vegan-friendly choices. My husband enjoyed the veggie chili, which was full of vegetables including okra. He also liked the sweet potato fries, which were tasty and had a strong cinnamon flavor. I ordered the veggie hoagie, which was just peppers, onions, and mushrooms on a bun and was somewhat plain. The person who took our order was very friendly. If you're looking for a sports bar with some vegetarian options, this place would be a good choice. However, we probably won't be coming back.

Not sure why this place is even listed on this page. there are very few vegetarian options on the menu, no more than I would expect to find in any meat restaurant, and none of them are characterized as such. they also screwed up my order and brought me a sandwich with cheese when I ordered it without cheese. there is no reason to go here if there is a real vegan restaurant less than 100 meters away. updated by previous review on 2019-07-21

My friends and I tried to go here more than once, but we were always ignored by the employees. I waited almost half an hour before I gave up. it is not worthwhile for poor food quality and customer service. better to go over the street to imagine vegan!

We thought here for the departure because our family had eaten in a nearby restaurant that had absolutely no vegan options. there are no tons of the menu that is vegan friendly. my man got the veggie chili we both really liked. it was full of sweet, even okra! He also goes the sweet potato frits that were good and heavy on the cinnamon, yes! I have the Veggie Hub that was in order. only paprika and swirl and mushroom on a bun. pretty simple. the guy who took our order was really nice and if they were looking for a bar to watch sport that would have some veggie options this place would fit the bill. I can't imagine we're back.

Friendly staff, fast service, cool atmosphere. I love this place!
