Udon Maedaya Melbourne Cbd

We ordered Maedaya Chips ($5.50), Momo Yakitori ($12), Poke Salad ($10), and a jug of Lemon Shochu Highball ($20). My favorite dish was the Momo Yakitori. While not necessarily authentic, the grilled chicken thighs were incredibly fresh and juicy. Each skewer had a different flavor, from garlic to chili to curry, and they were all delicious. The Maedaya Chips were also a hit, with Ebisu soy sauce drizzled on top and finished with savory Aonori for an umami twist. The Lemon Shochu Highball was refreshing with a citrus kick, and you couldn't taste the alcohol at all. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and I will definitely be back in the near future. I always return for the assorted vegetable tempura udon, it's a must-have dish along with the karaage.

Delicious food with a great variety on the menu. Standout dishes were the tempura and pork belly skewers. I was too busy enjoying my meal to take any more photos. Can't wait to go back!

It's a small compact place, but can accommodate good number of people. (No room for privacy).<br/ Food was good and delicious.<br/ Kharage chicken was the best and it was really delicious.<br/ Skewers were good too with a different blend of spices.<br/ Hot pot udon was good and tasty. We tried it first time, it was good but I would have preferred a little Spicer or with little salt.<br/ Peas dish was turn off.<br/ <br/ Overall a good place.<br/ <br/ Before I forget to mention the tap beer served was also great.

Now I'm not a fan of soupy dishes, but I loved the udon here and would come back any day of the week.Price is so reasonable, in face very cheap, I had the yasai tempura udon which consisted of a hearty bowl of udon with a generous serving of vegetable tempura.The tempura soaked in the soup with the perfectly cooked noodles was a match made in heaven.Would come here for lunch any day of the week.Service could be improved slightly, took a while to get their attention but nonetheless everyone was very friendly.4/5 to be updated when I get to try more items on their menu!
