Even for those seeking healthier options, being a fish and chip shop doesn't mean you can't have anything healthy. I highly recommend the grilled fish and salad plate - it's amazing!
This restaurant in Melbourne serves the best gluten free fish and chips! We have tried gluten free fish and chips from many places in Melbourne, so that's saying something. The blue grenadier was delicious and fresh. We also enjoyed the scallops and dim sims. The calamari was a decent size but a bit chewier than we expected. The potato cakes were tasty, my husband especially liked the crispness of the batter. We would definitely make the 45 minute drive to go there again. We are already planning to return in the warmer weather. Thumbs up!
I’ve lived in various suburbs and have tried fish and chips from all walks. This is by far our best local great batter, crunch is still there even after you get home..maybe it’s that gluten free batter they use. Pricier but you get what you pay for. Thumbs up.
Swung by Theo’s last night with a few mates Live locally but have never been beforeBest fish and chips in the area by a mileMajority of items are gluten free but still retain taste and crunchynessSpecial mention to the potato cakes, which were the best I’ve ever hadAnd the sausage in batterWill be back4.1
This restaurant is definitely worth the 30-minute drive. It is a dream come true for people with celiac disease. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. I will make the trip every time I crave fish and chips. If you are a celiac who has not had this type of food in years, you must try it out! I give it a perfect 10 out of 10.
