The Pizza Grill Company - Melbourne

I’ve visited this restaurant twice—once for dining in and once for takeout. Friends have praised it highly, but I found both experiences to be lacking. First off, it’s not the cheapest option, and I was disappointed with the portion size of the poutine fries for $9. We also ordered nachos and added chicken for an extra $7, only to find the chicken served on the side in a separate dish instead of being mixed in as we expected. The pizzas were also quite average, lacking flavor and with a crust that was more prominent than the sauce or toppings, which didn't soak into the bread at all. When we chose to eat in, the wait times were incredibly long on a Saturday night—around 40-50 minutes for our food—and when it finally arrived, it was stone cold, which was very disappointing.

The decor was modern and family-friendly, and the location was central. The food exceeded my expectations, offering a contemporary take on casual American dining, all cooked to perfection. The drinks were also delightful. However, the staff significantly detracted from what could have been a wonderful evening, particularly in terms of their speed and professionalism. It wasn't a busy night, yet I felt like I was bothering the servers each time I tried to get their attention. Given the price and the overall calm atmosphere, this was quite disappointing. Despite the service issues, I would still recommend this restaurant, as everyone at the table was extremely satisfied with the food and enjoyed the relaxed, family-oriented vibe.

Very nice American style restuarant. Quite like TGIF however a lot better service. Tasty food, good portions and great value!

This place was fantastic! We first visited when we came out of lockdown in June, and we were eager to book another visit as soon as we could. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get through to make a reservation. Please reopen soon! It’s heartbreaking what happened this year. You are our top choice in this area. Thank you for the incredible food and service. Please disregard the negativity from those who had nothing better to do during COVID. Wishing you all the best!

I ordered delivery from uber eats and payed $22 for the Hawaiian Parma with chips and the piece of chicken was the smallest Parma I 've seen in my life with the smallest handful of chips put in a box double the size of the whole order. I also payed $10 for the deluxe garlic cheese bread that looked absolutely nothing like the picture advertised on Uber eats. Would not recommend.
