Simply Spanish Qvm - Melbourne

This is a warm and inviting restaurant. The hot churros here are delicious.

I only had a cappuccino at this restaurant, but they also served a small churro alongside it, which was delicious! The staff was friendly, and we sat outside in perfect weather. It was truly a great day! I would definitely come back to try the food.

I give this restaurant 4.0 stars. I had a solo lunch here on Thursday, March 5th. A friend had recommended their lunch platter special in the past and really enjoyed it, but unfortunately it was no longer available. I decided to go with the a la carte option instead. The service was friendly and I received helpful recommendations on what to order. I tried the Mushroom croquettas ($10) which were delicious and flavorful, although I found the sauce on top to be a bit too spicy for my taste. I would order them again without the sauce. The Mussels ($18) were scrumptious, with a nice balance of heat from either chilli or paprika. The dish also included peas, roasted red capsicum, and bread to soak up the flavorful juices. I also enjoyed a glass of Albarino ($10), which had a good varietal character with a hint of fruit sweetness followed by a dry finish. Overall, a great experience with tasty food and good service.

This place is just amazing! The staff were fantastic. The food was amazing. The seafood paella was perfection. The churros were absolutely fantastic. This was an awesome meal in Melbourne.

Having finally tried all three Simply Spanish locations in and around Melbourne, our favourite remains to be the store at South Melbourne Market. While this visit was for the most part enjoyable and the dishes were tasty, it was by no means spectacular in any way.
