Along with a bowl of jasmine rice, this made for a satisfying meal for two people. The flavors of each dish were outstanding. We took advantage of the Gold 1+1 offer and had a seamless dining experience with no issues.
This restaurant has been established for over 2 years and serves delicious food. The pork neck was incredible. The prices are a bit high at $7 for 2. The pineapple fried rice was good, but the noodles were just average. The staff were very courteous.
I stumbled upon Siam Thai Restaurant today and it was a fantastic find. It had been a while since I walked along Bourke Street and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service and food were both exceptional, with generous portions and a variety of flavors. LOCATION Siam Thai is located on Bourke Street, near the intersection with Russell Street. The restaurant is spacious and has a laid-back atmosphere when you walk in. SERVICE The staff were friendly and efficient, swiftly clearing tables and attending to customers. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, my order was taken promptly. The staff seemed well-organized and the service ran smoothly, even with a large group dining. MENU/PRICE I opted for some traditional local Thai dishes, which I thoroughly enjoyed. - Traditional Boat Noodle - Moo Ping Skewers (2), priced at $7.00 (skewered pork neck marinated with Thai herbs and special sauce) VERDICT The Boat Noodle portion was enormous, so much so that I had to request a takeout container for the leftovers. There was a small charge for the container, which was reasonable. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the beef balls had a delicious taste. The broth was rich and full of spices like lemongrass, cinnamon, and star anise. The pork skewers were also delightful, with the meat being tender and flavorful. The marinade added a light and tasty touch to the dish. I was so satisfied with the meal that I couldn't order another round, even though I wanted to. I plan on returning to sample more items from their extensive menu as the food is truly authentic Thai cuisine.
Good standard meal, everything was good but nothing overly special. Red duck curry was fragrant and coconutty. Crispy pork was very tasty. Squid was ok, not too much flavour.
So impressed this restaurant. Nice food and I also really like tropical fruit tea.
