Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a small, well established and deservedly popular Italian restaurant. Linen tablecloths, knowledgeable and experienced waiters and good, honest Italian pasta and mains make eating here a very pleasant dining experience. There is a decent range of wines by the glass (as well as bottle). Finally, noise levels are not a problem and conversation is possible!
Went here for dinner with a group if friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was great, the menu quite broad (with plenty of well-explained specials) and the wine list surprisingly good, and not all Italian, with some quite high profile Australian wines available as well. The food was very good, albeit a little salty, and the serves were quite large
In the centre of Alber Park Village an authentic Italian cuisine with a warm and inviting ambience. The meals are well presented with a wide menu selection and the specials are always worth a try.
Stumbled across this quaint resturant. Excellent food the chicken ravolli was something special. Service fast and prompt. Food and wine reasonably priced. Would visit again.. It was just a cozy, friendly place
Ricardo’s seems to have a regular clientele, given that so many people on the night were greeted by name and engaged the friendly staff in social banter. It is not a large venue but accommodates a good number of diners without too much infringement of personal/table space. The printed menu is quite extensive and unambiguously Italian, and there was a special board on this evening, as well as a large chalk board listing a lot of wine options - both old and new world. Food and wine prices range but on average prices for the fare are moderate. There are options for vegetarian and coeliac diners. We opted for a starter of a Salmon croquette, which was more like my mother’s salmon pattie. The mixture could have been firmer and more seasoned, but the accompanying salad was well dressed and refreshing. My mother would not have been disappointed with the second starter, Vitello Tonnato. There are about 12 Primi Piatti, and about 12 pasta/risotto dishes. The slices of milk-fed veal in our main dish, a Scaloppine Piccantina, were cooked perfectly but the sauce of white wine, lemon, chilli, and tomato was a little out of balance in ingredients and overpowered the delicateness of the veal. There are 6 - 7 main dishesThe service was good, the ambience pleasant and the evening enjoyable. I am guessing from the general atmosphere and overall engagement that Ricardo’s is an Albert Park standard. We would try it again.
