Contribuiți la feedbackThe restaurant is charming, with a retro Spanish music vibe and a great selection of drinks and wine. However, the service is lacking. I was recommended a side dish that duplicated the potatoes already in the top-selling pork dish. The main pork dish took over 35 minutes to arrive, and was served partially cold. Despite being one of the first customers in the restaurant, it took 20 minutes to get someone's attention to pay. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are in no rush to dine.
The venue is enchanting, the ambiente is with retro-spanish music, great drink menu and wine selection, but the service is bad. 1) I was recommended to go a next-kartoffel bowl with the top sale pork shell that already has cartoffels in it 2) either the chefs do not seem excessively competent or it falls on the server as the main pork court that supposedly should be the top seller in the restaurant, took far over 35 minutes to partially get cold out. when I sat down, there was another table at the place and I beat the dinner rush, so I'm really not sure why my eating was not at least properly heated again. 3) it took 20 minutes to try to get everyone the attention to pay in the situation. the set group menus could be another story. would not personally recommend unless they are really looking to take their time.
Portello Rosso is a charming restaurant located in a laneway off Little Bourke Street that serves delicious Spanish cuisine with the help of friendly and attentive staff. The wine menu features a variety of Spanish wines at different price points. Our favorite dishes included the Emilio '00' anchovies, smoked pancetta croquettes, crispy pork belly, Basque-style pan-fried New Zealand turbot, and, of course, the Patatas Bravas. We will definitely be returning in the future.
When you're in the mood for a casual dining experience, tapas is a great choice. Tucked away in a small alley in the CBD, this charming tapas restaurant is cozy, bustling with lively energy, and offers a delicious variety of small tapas dishes and larger options like paella for sharing. We enjoyed six tapas dishes, then couldn't resist ordering a dish of pork belly because the food was just so amazing. We also sipped on refreshing sangria throughout our meal. The tapas were exceptional, handcrafted with care by two speedy chefs. The friendly wait staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, creating a fun and festive atmosphere. We even noticed them making a special gluten-free meal for a guest nearby, which was a nice gesture. After our meal, the staff encouraged us to visit their piano bar next door, which kept the party going. Fantastic tapas, excellent service, and a cheerful ambiance - what more could you ask for?
Just a simple dinner with the husband no children, first time dining here and the food was lovely. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Love the tapas and simple cuisine, only downfall was I wanted a coffee and the machine wasn't working...
