Contribuiți la feedbackCame here on a Friday night for dinner and was seated upstairs that had a nice view of the ocean. Friendly service as we ordered the squid which was delicious, the falafel which was decent, the haloumi which was a little too over cooked and sweet tasting and the beef sujok pizza that was amazing. I tried the sumac infused cocktail which had a kick to it for those who want something a little stronger On Mondays they have their $10 pizza nights which is something we would definitely come back for.
I discovered a gem across from the Port Melbourne beach - a trendy restaurant serving top-notch and creative Middle Eastern cuisine. We sampled their lamb kofta, fish, and grain salad (kisir) - all bursting with flavor! Each dish had a unique twist that set it apart from traditional Middle Eastern fare in a delightful way. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was charmingly quirky. I will definitely be coming back!
Went for dinner with a couple of friends and shared the crispy squid, lamb meatballs, roast cauliflower, grilled haloumi to start. You cannot fault the flavours but if you are hungry, the dishes are on the small side and quite disappointed with the veg dish, as there wasn't actually a lot of cauliflower.<br/ <br/ We also shared the tomato and three cheese pizza and the spiced chic (yummy rice too) and then had to order the mushroom pizza and slow cooked lamb to fill our bellies.<br/ <br/ We probably could have stopped there but we had a couple of dessert lovers, so we tried the moroccan mess, choc fondant and basbousa. An enjoyable and tasty meal but does get a bit pricey if you have a reasonable appetite.
The lamb serving was small, and the tomato mograbieh pasta balls were bland, similar to what you find in a tin of baked beans. The combination of the sauce and lamb did not work well, but the lamb itself was delicious. The dish was saved by the labneh served with the potatoes and pilaf that came with the chicken. For dessert, I had a messy Moroccan dessert and a sticky date pudding. The messy dessert was a pile of meringue, berry compote, and cream with rose water-flavored floss on top, a bit too sweet and wet. The pudding was good with proper moisture and sauce, though it could have been warmer when served. Although I made a booking, it wasn't on their system, but there were plenty of tables available. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, the serving sizes were a bit small for the price, but the flavors were good. There were limited gluten-free options for the main dishes. I would rate my experience as a 3.5 out of 5.
I visited this restaurant on a Groupon deal. The food was good (especially the meatballs and hummus), the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. It was a great experience dining with friends or family and trying a new cuisine.
