Have been here a few times for lunchLunch plus a $6 wine or beer is I believe a good deal.The food is fresh and very enjoyable. The service is great, though kitchen can be slow when restaurant is full to capacity, which it has been every time I've been there.Wine and beer list is adequate and goes well with the food that is mildly spicyThe noise level is high as I believe floor is concrete. Highly recommend for lunch

Went to Merchant Society for dinner after the AFL match Saturday night at Etihad Stadium, service was very good only about 15 minutes from order to service, i had the Merchant Prawns a great choice cooked to perfection a nice crunch when you bit into them and with roasted mustard leaves the flavour was unbelievable had a serve of rice to go with it, would recommend to anyone for a good tasty lunch or dinner.

This is a restaurant I have dined at several times previously.If one wants to visit on a Friday it is best to book as it gets quite busy.I had the Char Kuey Teow which included prawns, calamari, fish cake and bean sprouts for $14.20.My vegetarian friend had the Vegetarian Mee Goreng for the same price.We both enjoyed our meals.Beers during lunch are all priced at $6 including the international beers.

Fridays- bear in mind is not the day to have your lunch in this Restaurant. The food and service is good. We had booked the place at 12.30 and got there at the do of time. We waited for our meal for about an hour..The easy lunches were being served and we were left waiting for our meal. Had to go to the counter twice and request for our meal. The owner and the the rest of the staff were very unapologetic.Keep away on Friday afternoons.

We dined as a group of six colleagues looking for a relaxed place for Friday night dinner. While cheap and cheerful, the quality and freshness of the food was excellent for the price point, with generous serves of all dishes. In particular the Mee Goreng was the freshest I've ever had, and the slice of lime was a tasty touch. Enak sekali!
