Pizza Rustica was amazing and extremely tasty but the pasta dish did not hit the mark.It was prawns, basil pesto and rocket with fettucine. It was on the specials board and the prawns did not taste fresh and the pasta was drowned in the sauce.
I went here for lunch with three work colleagues, and have been here a number of times before. We had $15 specials, all with pizza and they were up to scrap again. Toppings aren't deep, but they're adequate.
My husband and I went to Madonna's for a casual Pizza. He chose Capicossa and I Mexican. We had a couple of Peroni beers with our Pizzas. The crust was a nice depth and crisp and topping was delicious. We had espresso coffee to finish. The establishment is family run and know about their pizza. There are of course available other delicious dishes. Great Risotto with Fish and Calamari and Cottalettas with lovely salads or vegetables. This is a nice local eatery for that casual relaxed meal. Thank you, Russlyn Garotti
Not sure what is happening in Pizzeria land in this part of the city, but our favourite places are closing or changing hands. Last Friday was the first time we had been to Madonna's and it had just changed hands. The staff were fantastic and friendly. Pricing was really good, wine menu very reasonable albeit limited but understandable.I prefer really thin crisp pizzas and the ones we had were thicker pizza bases, not too thick though. Not a gourmet pizzeria but more family focused. Given the location sandwiched on the corner of 2 busy roads it's not a romantic pizzeria. I think it's great for families and there are a lot of high chairs and lots of room for those killer prams. Would be good for workers during the week too.
The pizza is also acceptable because above there is Italian mozzarella and not Australian cheese, it could be better if I made it more Italian and if they had a wood oven.
