Contribuiți la feedbackI had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with delicious food! It seems like only Australians can make food this amazing in Sydney. It was my first time trying the cuisine and it was absolutely delicious and amazing.
In general, eating lau-lau is a laborious and time-consuming task, but I assure you, the lau-lau at this restaurant is well worth the effort! They are coated in a delicious thick, sticky, and spicy sauce that truly brings the phrase "finger-lickin' good" to life. All you need is to pair them with some fragrant steamed white rice and you'll be in heaven. Each order comes with at least 3 lau-lau, and if you're not ordering anything else, 2 portions (4 lau-lau) is the perfect amount. However, if you're ordering other dishes, starting with 1 portion is a minimum. We also tried the sambal eggplant, which was incredibly flavorful and silky smooth - highly recommend it! Please visit the restaurant's website for booking and ordering information. I can only say that it's a missed opportunity if you don't try it!
This small luncheon dressage is in the round a nearly food joint known for its quail from its original location in balwyn. reasonable price lunch for city standard. very good Southeast Asian style almost food.
Mabrown's CBD branch is entered from the Southern Cross Lane behind the massive Southern Cross Office tower where it is one of many eateries touting for business from the drones of the CBD. The restaurant has two sides, one for sitting in to eat and...the other side of the service area serves take away. In the sitting part it is a tad like a workers' canteen especially at peak lunch time with closely arranged tables that are often shared. Otherwise it is an undecorated, high void of a space. As my partner loved his curry laksa on an earlier visit, we had to go back. First time I had mee goreng and it was good and hearty and generous. This time I tried the curry laksa and I agree it is very good. The chicken is curried before it is added and that improves it. Lots of noodles two varieties and lots of other tasty morsels you expect in a good curry laksa. This time we avoided the lunchtime rush and mob and it was pleasantly near empty. Good food.
When in Melbourne I search for good Laksa, and today I hit gold. Seems to be a second branch which opened last year. Basic style furniture, but good service and quality. Positioned in the pedestrian mall type space. My Curry Chicken Laksa was the real...deal. With curried chicken rather than shredded poached chicken, half boiled egg and two types of noodle. Spices and toppings were good. Result, mild addition. I will return.
