Lane Restaurant - Melbourne

We absolutely adore dining at this lovely hotel restaurant located in front of the theatre. We have visited three times in the last month, and the food has been consistently excellent from the appetizers to the desserts. The staff are fantastic - knowledgeable, attentive, and truly wonderful. We cannot recommend this place enough!

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and had a nice night. They gave my husband a free wine that was very appreciated. But it was our waitress who made the occasion very pleasant with their kindness and very helpful suggestions. The food was good... and it was nice to sit at the table and over Collins St.

They've been to the Lane restaurant a few times and always enjoyed meals. On this occasion we had the plate for two, consisting of two mini cheese burgers, pulled pig and chicken wings. The plate was $39, but there was portion size... fast big. The chicken wings are a bit sharp so you could inform the waiter if you can't take the heat. The menu changes and soft bowl crabs baos were offered, so we ordered a service that comes with two for $21. The other dish we had was the fish and the chips. We enjoyed all the dishes and probably ordered too much and we did not leave a room for dessert.

Positive: nice place with good coffee The breakfast selection is decent, the service is missing somewhat. For the bar, you could be sitting for awhile before you realize that you have to order pay first at the bar which is very strange for an...international hotel

This place never fails to impress me. Food choice is lovely. Beautiful presentation and the staff are friendly and attentive. Our pork belly was delicious and the brûlée was outstanding! Why bother wandering around town when you’ve got such a wonderful restaurant where you’re staying....The breakfast buffet is also full of choice
