This was our first time dining at this restaurant and we decided to book based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The gnocchi ragu had overcooked gnocchi and watery sauce, while the prawn and calamari dish was overcooked with rubbery calamari. The garden salad had gritty lettuce and was mostly filled with a mushy potato salad. Overall, we couldn't finish any of the dishes. We were hoping for good, authentic homestyle Italian food as we are new to the area, but this restaurant did not meet our expectations.
Best family owned restaurant on chapel street. I’ve even seen the mother in the back cooking which was amazing to see ! The pasta dishes are amazing and the potato salad is to die for !!! Highly recommend
Small intimate little italian restaurant. Service was friendly and quick. We both ordered a pasta dish and they were delivered within 15mins. both dishes promised big flavours of garlic and bacon and mushrooms but when they arrived, the pasta was overcooked and both dishes were lacking flavour. not even any seasoning. Disappointing.
After years of coming to this little institution on Chapel Street, I’m always delighted to return. Such a delicious menu of traditional Italian favorites all the dishes are home made with so much love you can taste the difference. Walk past the little kitchen out the back and you’ll see a lovely Nonna making pasta and other beautiful treats. I’ve tried lots of different dishes on the menu but my absolute go to favorite is the Quattro Stragionni (spelling? with home made gnocchi it’s the type of dish a comfort food foodie would fantasize about. The prawn pasta is absolutely delicious too, as is the tuna spaghetti and the salads are beautiful too particularly the mixed salad that has fresh greens, tomatoes, avocado and potato salad. If you fancy more of a meat and vegetable type of dish there is plenty on offer at La Lucciola. They are licensed of course so you can enjoy a drink with your meal. It’s such a cute little place with a lot of heart and a great place to catch up for lunch or dinner. A good spot for a date or a meal with friends or a small family get together. Really love this place. Would highly recommend it to anyone who loves great Italian food in a cozy atmosphere.
