The vanilla slice is amazing, and the almond biscuits are incredibly soft when they have them in stock. The tiramisu is decent, but I found that in the big container, there was mostly cream and mascarpone with very few ladyfingers inside.
I’ve been craving Italian for weeks so my partner and I decided to try Impasto which was recommended by his colleague. So on arrival we saw there was 2 sections so we asked if we were able to get food from the other side but we were told that it was for takeaway only which was a plus for us as we would want our food fresh!<br/ <br/ We ordered a pasta bake, a pizza (San Daniele) and a salumi board. We got the pasta bake first which was honestly very average. What I mean by that was although it was good you know you can make a much heartier, saucier and cheesier pasta bake at home. The San Daniele came out and the crust is by far the thinnest I’ve ever eaten in my life, it was so light and fluffy, the waitress then brought out a salumi pizza and we confirmed with her that we actually ordered a salumi (antipasto) board she then realised they had made the wrong item. She told us we can have the pizza free of charge and they brought our the salumi board after (which I didn’t get a photo of) we were totally stuffed. <br/ <br/ Overall I would recommend this place if you’re looking at grabbing a slice or in my partners case a whole pizza I would love to come back to have a panini sandwich I notice a lovely selection at the counter but they also had a extensive menu. <br/ <br/
A nice cafe that I popped into, I was desperate for a coffee and this seemed like the only decent cafe that was situated on the strip of shops. the shop had a bakery attached to it next door which looked nice also. <br/ <br/ The fit out is really nice and charming, staff lovely. My take away coffee was good, a bit on the hot side but still enjoyable. $4.20 for a small coffee was a bit steep in my eyes and would be the only negative.
The strawberry gelato at this restaurant is fantastic. The flavors and texture are superb. The vegetarian focaccia was decent, but could use more filling since the bread was quite thick.
We had the most delicious Capricciosa pizza ever at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. The place was also very clean and the prices were reasonable. The first time we tried the meatballs with a super tasty sauce, and we highly recommend this cafe. We even come from the other side of town just to eat here. Keep up the good work and thank you for serving a piece of Italy.
