Iki-jime, Seafood By Vue - Melbourne

The staff at this restaurant gave a fabulous welcome in a beautifully designed room. I particularly liked the tables and tablecloths. I started the evening with a bowl of ceviche, which was enjoyable but slightly tangy. It was supposed to have raw trout, but it seemed more like tobiko or raw fly fish and got a little lost in the pool of tiger milk. The fried potato side dish was excellent. The Arnhem Land barramundi main course was delicious, but the fish was very soft, more like farm-raised barramundi. The fennel salad was fantastic and the skin-on chips were very tasty. The watermelon salad was okay, but the beets were very nice. Upon reflection, I realized that I did not pay for this meal. If I had, I may have been slightly disappointed and would only give it 3 stars. The promises did not quite live up to the cost of the meal.

This was definitely one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Everything from the food to the service to the drinks was perfect. I can't fault this place at all. The prawn cocktail was a standout favorite at our table! We will definitely be returning.

They need to get the fish wings in not really a boiled fish lover (love sashimi,) but the fish wings were so delicious! especially when you pack it in the salat. that must be! the pear tarte tatin was also very tasty and a good size, so make sure they leave some rooms for it.

Eating in Iki-Jime was exceptional, the atmosphere and the ambiente is great, especially for an intimate or romantic night.

Eating and his presentation on a plate or delivery method of waiting staff was either disappointed and the tasting menu 145 was not good for me and my friend. I would not go back to dinner or lunch unless there are huge changes. in comparison to other 2hatted restaurants is iki jime not good enough. some foods were delicious.
