Contribuiți la feedbackI was here twice for the first time with my Japanese family pairing with others for the second time. and the intention is great when they wear sunglasses as the sun sets before them. the service lacks, the amount of food is not questionable, but the quality is nothing really simmering about this place, its very average, badly boiled seafood. I'm not gonna be there for the third time.
We went with another couple to celebrate our high-time anniversary, which we had separated a week at 7:30. the setting is beautiful, especially when they opened the blinds and we saw the sun. one of our party chose two starters while. the rest of us has only decided for main courses. the first of the starter came at 8:30 a.m. at 9 a.m., no sign of the main courses and the second starter. I called our waitress and asked what happened, as we were at the restaurant at the time of 1 1/2 hours. she said she'd check it out. she came back and said there was a mistake and we waited. at about 9:15 went one of our party to the captain and said if eating was not with us in 5 minutes we would go. at 9:20 we stood up to go and eat came. the waitress said the choice to go is our, but in this late phase decided to stay. eating was very good, but our moods were not. everything they wanted to do as a decompensation was to take the bottle of wine out of the bill. one of our parties spoke to the head and said they would look around when we came back: what we will not do so soon.
They and I visited finz for a family start and were not disappointed by the least. this was for a long lunch, with very few diners on the ground floor zone, served by the same ground floor kitchen as the better presented. in the top floor it area, which an identical menu, only costly prices. between three of us we enjoyed two loose coffin bay scallops, two ling filets, which are coated in the finest teig, and a plate garlic with rice. all meal times were beautifully presented and much enjoyed, hard to say which plate was the closest was perfect. It's pretty good. service was good, but not tested, due to few patrons at the time. a beautiful view of the yachts on the bay, from the yachtclub in sandringham, and an hour free parking on the house door, or unlimited parking directly opposite, under the sandy hotel. an unqualified good experience, nothing could be missed in the least.
Overpriced boring menu. nice personal made by very ordinary cooking. paella reisklee, tasteless but seafood was fresh and well cooked
As other reviewers said this restaurant is in Sandringham, not Melbourne itself. We checked TripAdvisor before going in and entered based on the good reviews only to be very disappointed I am afraid. Note that this is the upstairs restaurant. We had Oyster natural...for the starter, which were very good. The service left us wanting, e.g., the bread plates were removed after we ordered and before we got any bread (there was also no bread on the menu) makes you wonder what they were for. I had a Bouillabaisse (on the special menu for the day $49.90) and my wife had a BBQ'd crayfish (market price, turned out to be $150). Plates were cold while the seafood appeared good, although somewhat overcooked the broth in the Bouillabaisse was the worst I ever had ... normally I never leave any broth here I had only a few spoons before giving up. The Crayfish was chewy, even considering it can be difficult to cook. The roast potatoes were fried and tasted of fries and the vegetables were cold. We skipped desert coffee (long black) must have been the worst we had since we moved to Melbourne over a year ago, downright watery. I asked for some Grappa which was on their menu but they had none. Just re reading the review to see if it is too harsh, but I am afraid to say it isn't. Needless to say that we will not be back.
