It is not common to find vegan hot pot, but this restaurant offers it. As a vegan in a family of carnivores, I am used to being around meat and possible cross contamination. If this is a concern for you, this may not be the best place to dine.
This restaurant offers three different types of tofu and a wide variety of vegetables. They also have a vegan broth option. The atmosphere is great and I believe it is a very affordable dining option.
While the range of vegan options is plentiful. You are entering a ‘help yourself fridge’ choosing veggies and tofus from the many shelves. The meat is seperate from the veggies, but is exposed and you’ll have to walk passed it for the fried bean curd (a must have). You are looking at $18-20 for approx 600g; or Upwards of $30 for approx 800g or more *do yourself a favour and save that broth for a 2nd or 3rd meal back home. Avoid heavy veggies or wet noodles to decrease your weight. Plenty of seating outside, about 4 tables inside. No alcohol served.
Hot pot is rare to find vegan and this is the first place I could ever get. my whole family are carnivores so that I am used to being meat and the possibility of cross-contamination so it is a problem for them, then it may not be their place.
