D.O.C - Melbourne

Traditional, delicious menu, attentive and efficient staff. Stand outs are the lasagne, pesto and the farro salad! I think I've been here going on 20 times and always take visitors to Melbourne.

Ate here recently with some work colleagues and enjoy the service and food. Great tasting plate. The different type of cured meats were fantastic. Loved the wagyu and the cheese and honey. Great crusty sourdough.The porcini pasta was rich and full of flavour but for me the pasta needed just a little more time. Understanding different people prefer pasta different ways, it was still delicious and enjoyable. The tiramisu was light, creamy and not overly powerful in coffee flavour which for me was great. A good little venue and friendly staff.

I enjoy this place, whether it's breakfast, lunch or just an excuse for a coffee. Grab a seat at a bench table with others and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Food is simple but tasty. Coffee is great. Order at the bar, pay up front and delivered to you. The staff are busy but friendly with a smile. You can sit at footpath tables and enjoy the buzz of Lygon St.

If you ever want a quick on the run meal give this place an opportunity. If it's breakfast brunch or lunch you won't be disappointed. Using D.O.C inspired ingredients it never disappoints. Look out for their board specials, had the Gragnano pasta a amatriciana with a house red, amazing as if I was in Italy.

Don't get me wrong the food is excellent and service does not disappoint. But the portions x prices are unrealistic. You pay he price of main for an entrée size dish. You would have to order at least two to get a decent size meal and it would then become one of the most expensive places in Melbourne. Go to a Greek restaurant instead!
