Curry Masala Northcote - Melbourne

I frequented this restaurant many times with various group sizes, ranging from two people to as many as 24 people. The food is consistently delicious. The service may not be exceptional, but it takes a backseat when the food is so good. Despite the restaurant often appearing empty, it is definitely worth dining here. In my opinion, it is the best Indian restaurant in Northcote. I am a repeat customer and highly recommend it.

It is uncomfortable when a restaurant has no customers. Despite this, we ordered two curries and rice for a reasonable price of $28. However, the curries were not impressive. I didn't feel motivated to finish my meal and ended up leaving about half of it in the container. Although it wasn't terrible, I believe there are much better Indian takeout and restaurants nearby.

If they expect an salad with the meals on the menu, as served with tandoori salat, then they will be disappointed. what they get is a few pieces of capsicum mixed with their Tandoori court, that is salat!. when we called the restaurant to ask if they had forgotten our salat with our homework, the answer in the grunde was what their problem is, the capsicum is the salat. we ordered tandoori huh, tandoori mushroom, fish tikka and garlic naan. they could have a better Tandoori chicken if they bought a bottle tandoori paste from their local super market! the mushroom dish was so small that it was a sweat, and the fish tikka main dish looked like a escape. well, they were naan. we will throw out our take-away menu. make you like something else.

The food was average, with the samosas being particularly bland and unappetizing. The curries were passable but lacked the vibrant flavors expected in Indian cuisine. The Garlic Naan was one of the few highlights of the meal. The waitress, possibly one of the owners, was slow in bringing drinks and seemed exhausted. She prioritized clearing other tables over attending to our needs, causing delays in getting the bill sorted. Despite the staff's efforts, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant as the overall experience was underwhelming.
