Frustrating Dining Experience: Missing food, Long Waits and Poor Communication
The staff were trying but couldn’t meet the food orders as they were understaffed and the online food ordering system didn’t work properly. We ended up leaving before we got all the food we ordered. There was a big event on at Marvel. They were simply not prepared for a big early crowd and should not have accepted so many customers and orders.
Really delicious food in this casual dining space. Lovely staff.
We had a large group of 20 people for a 21st party. The food was excellent. However, we were told beforehand that we would be looked after by Vivien. When we arrived we were not told that we could order food either by App or by menu, my husband and I had told all our guests that we would be paying for everyone but many guests ordered through the App so ended up paying themselves. We were told to order by App but everyone had to use one phone (my husband's) so we could pay for their meal. This took a very long time, since each person had to look through the dishes, select, then pass his phone to the next person. Three of our guests did not receive their meals, including my husband and myself, who ordered 2 entrees and 2 mains between us and only received one of the entrees. A few people ordered via menu and there were no problems. Some of the dishes we ordered were not available. It was such a shame and we felt very bad that some of our guests went hungry. I think that the whole experience would have been so much easier and better if someone had just come to our table, explained that we could order using the menu (which were never given to us, we had to go find them), then we could order all at the same time. We didn't see Vivien the whole night. Such a shame.
