Albert Park Deli - Melbourne

All I can say is, I assume you’re paying for the classy suburb because unfortunately the food at this place, was far from classy. Food was bland, dry. We compared one of the food items to something Aldi makes; and thought the Aldi version is much better. This place is way yyyy over priced.

I could have just stared in the window for ages, but was hungry and went inside. Here there are even more food displays. I chose a coffee and toasted sandwich and waited outside for their arrival. Luckily I found a table and my items came quickly. I was disappointed with the paper box for the sandwich and compostible cup for my coffee The wind picked up and I had to secure my food. The dogs at the next table were getting excited and would have jumped up to get it if I averted my gaze at all. Prices are quality were good. I cannot wait until we can sit inside again.

Great selection in the deli in addition to that on the menu. A popular place for lunch on Sunday so suggest booking. There are also tables at the back of the premises that are not immediately obvious.

An obviously busy café deli – so the food is presumably good. But the noise level – when we were there was extreme. We asked the guy behind the counter gently to turn down the music a bit. Effectively told us to get stuffed – “it’s my shop”. Definitely not the place to go if you’re looking to have a quiet chat with friends over lunch.

Had breakfast with two of my mates. We had not been here since I retired. The service was excellent and the food great. We will be returning for our get together each two months.
