She was informative and attentive, explaining the menu well and offering suggestions when asked. We ordered pfefferhun, vegetarian momos, herbal corma with garlic naan and white rice. All dishes were generously portioned and we were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary papageien and chutneys. The chicken was juicy and the pfeffer taste was unique, standing out from typical curries. The momos resembled Chinese or Japanese pot stickers, cooked with red and green capsicums in a spicy red sauce. The medium-size heat level was quite hot for our taste. The herbal corma was creamy and flavorful. Overall, we were impressed by the distinct tastes of each dish, a departure from other Indian restaurants. The restaurant also offers comfortable parking in the back.
We gathered with family and friends for dinner at Aachis. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed. The first thing I noticed was the affordability of the restaurant. There were no decorations on the walls, just simple flashlights in the windows. The tables did not have tablecloths or napkins, and we were only given one plate for our meal. The first course arrived quickly, consisting of pakoras, samosas, and tikkas. The second course, however, took over 40 minutes to arrive and was underwhelming in presentation. The dishes were colorful but lacked complexity and glamour. It seemed as though the restaurant had recently changed ownership and the new owners had just started cooking. Despite the lackluster experience, we would consider giving Aachis another try in the future to see if things have improved.
The Indian restaurant offers excellent cuisine and very friendly service. The staff were helpful in ensuring I had a great experience, even though I am not an expert in Indian food. They made me feel comfortable and offered helpful advice. I tried the superbutter chicken and it was delicious.
Was just damn good. and cheap. personal highlights; tika windshield wiper, massala and corma all blow out my socks. oh and the butter chicken.
Considering this is the closest restaurant outside the Hyatt hotel I was seriously disappointed. Place was empty which always makes me think...what’s the food like. Onion bhaji was chewy and seemed old it was garnished with a dry mixed leaf and some onion and a...curry sauce , not a yoghurt and mint dipping sauce not lemon wedge. Yuck quite frankly. The butter chicken was tough and watery and more like coconut milk was thinning it out. The rice was fresh I can say that. They didn’t sell any bottled water, like none. Sorry to say.
