A fan's notes - Melbourne

Red head at the bar not very pleasant or helpful, basically turning customers away with her attitude. If you expect to be busy get more staff on board! Can't give a good review if you don't get a chance to sit down.

Went to a fan's notes last night for dinner. With the $10 veggie parma night It was fantastic. I would recommend for everybody. Wednesday nights .....get along

I have eaten at A Fan's Notes on several occasions and each time am blown away by the menu and the great flavours in each dish. This place has a great relaxed vibe and a beautiful fig tree in the back courtyard. The sauces and aolis the chef create are fantastic and lift each dish. Big serves make for great value too.

Been here a few times as it is local to my friend' house and I can say I have never been disappointed! The place is quirky and the staff are friendly, with a unique sense of humour to enjoy. And most importantly the food is delicious! My friend swears by the croquettes and I must admit the sauce that comes with it is amazing!! This time I had the avocado and bacon melt and it was incredibly tasty and hit the spot! So many great things on the menu will keep bringing me back to this place!

Food here was pretty good; we both enjoyed our quesadillas thoroughly. Was all kind of ruined when we asked the waitress to remake a fresh juice though. What was served had far too much ginger in it and was undrinkable. Attempted to be nice and ask for another, was met with condensation ("the menu says this IS a ginger juice") and when she agreed to remake it did so with no ginger and slammed it into our table without another word. Disapointing start to our day.
