Ocean 302 - Melbourne Beach

Atmoshphere was uplifting. Ivan was great, but every bite of skirt steak had a burnt flavor taste and chimichurri sauce was bland to try to mask the burnt flavor, under seasoned green beans.

Always an interesting experience. The Chef does some unusual takes on standard fare with outstanding results. We will return more frequently.

Our fourth visit to this excellent farm to table gastropub located a short walk from the ocean in Melbourne Beach. On trips from Atlanta to visit family in south Florida we often stop for the night at an inn (Port d 'Hiver) in Melbourne Beach and Ocean 302 is located in a strip mall across the street. It is a very popular spot and for good reason. The food and service are both excellent. The sticky duck wings are awesome and highly recommended. On this visit, I had the branzino (European sea bass). It was seasoned beautifully and served with a tasty rice/quinoa mix. Superb. My wife had the airport chicken , a dish that had been off the menu for a bit but is back by popular demand. For dessert we had key lime pie and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée is made in house, served warm, and is exceptional. The key lime pie is from an outside bakery and is also top notch. Staff loves working here and are very friendly and attentive. You can 't go wrong here. One of our most dependable favorites. Wish we lived closer!

The food was very good and the service was great. We were a large party and they did not rush us out. It was a great evening
